Metal titans ARCH ENEMY have just released “The Root Of All Evil”, a stunning collection of re-recorded material from the band’s first three albums, revitalised and reenergised by their current line-up. The album achieved chart entries in Germany (#84), Sweden (#69) and Japan (#7 in the international artist charts, #21 in the combined charts), congratulations!

Right now, the band is touring through Asia and mastermind Michael Amott has posted the following report:

“We’re on a tour of Asia, just about to hit the stage here in Manila, Philippines! A couple of days ago we played the LOUD PARK 09 festival at the giant Makahuri Messe Hall in Tokyo, Japan! I had a great time on stage at the LOUD PARK Festival as usual, the conditions are extremely professional and there is really nothing you can complain about – which is of course the level of greatness we have come to expect when we play in Japan!”

We played a special setlist consisting of quite a few songs from our recently released “The Root Of All Evil” CD. Thank you to everyone who made noise for us, screamed, shouted, fistbanged, moshed – whatever you did, it was great and we felt your energy up there on the stage!”

ARCH ENEMY ANNOUNCES NORTH AMERICAN HEADLINE TOUR: Tyrants of Evil Tour to Kick off in 2010

Arch Enemy has announced the dates for their ‘Tyrants of Evil’ headlining tour, which will shred across North America in early 2010. Bay Area Thrashers Exodus will accompany Arch Enemy. Arsis and Mutiny Within will round out the impressive line up. This is the first Arch Enemy US & Canada headline tour in support of their latest release, The Root of All Evil, which hit stores last week (released via Century Media Records).

Arch Enemy vocalist Angela Gossow issued the following statement: “Hells Yes! We are more then ready to return to the US and Canada for a 
head banging and neck breaking tour experience! Totally stoked about the 
killer package – Arch Enemy, Exodus, Arsis and Mutiny Within. We personally handpicked these bands for you! A full on extreme, versatile and so very METAL line-up. You will be hurting in a good 
way after we have been through town! The Tyrants Of Evil are ready to kill!!!”
